The project started back in the year 1985 with several development agendas in mind. It seldomely rolled over building its activities into being and making the dreams become realities. Currently it houses a number of activities within it and many more to the rest of the parts of the community.
Some of the activities owned by the project include: Tne new Teachers Training college which is the only one of its kind in Suba District; The Nursery school;Special Education centre; Internet accessibility, computer services and other Information Technology related aspects to the community; A very large conferencing hall that can accomodate over 1000 people in a sitting; Hostels for accomodation to different classes depending on the rates made; Poultry farming that feeds a large region; Dairy farming that provides milk to the entire Nyandiwa peninsula and many others.
Some of the activities that it provides to the commuinty include: The free water service which flows all the way from the Gwassi Hills down to the lake region which has actually acted as drinking water to over 20,000 people; The "MUNYA" irrigation scheme that provide water to farmers at no cost, highly benefited all farmers around it; Several Dispensaries in different areas to help the communities where government agencies haven't reached e.g. Kiwa and Kisaku dispensaries; Working in liason with the local authority to improve the transport services in different areas and boosting the community at large. We are also doing e - learning program with the schools of Gwassi and the area at large.
Together with the Brownsea Foundation the project still has alot to achieve in the future, watch out for things like teleconferencing equipment, a school for the physically impaired and many more
